Rainbow Chamber Inclusivity Statement

Participation in the Rainbow Chamber fundamentally requires inclusivity. The Chamber and visitors to the Chamber have a reasonable expectation that all businesses have committed, officially, in writing, and publicly, explicitly including LGBTQ persons, and encompassing customers, employees, and business partners. Practically speaking, the Chamber will not try to dictate exact wording. And franchise owners or departmental leaders may be restricted in written statements. Chamber leadership, with LGBTQ Center oversight will make a final determination on whether any given business has the proper documentation, with reference to the guidelines below.

Inclusivity Statement of The LGBTQ Center

The LGBTQ Center is committed to inclusive employment and dedicated to diversity in our work. We do not discriminate in opportunities or practices on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions), age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, uniform service member status, disability or any other characteristic protected by law.

The LGBTQ Center expressly prohibits any form of unlawful employee harassment or discrimination based on any of the characteristics mentioned above. Improper interference with the ability of other employees to perform their expected job duties is absolutely not tolerated.

The LGBTQ Center is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace in which all employees have an opportunity to participate and contribute to the success of the business and are valued for their skills, experience, and unique perspectives. This commitment is embodied in organization policy and the way we do business at The LGBTQ Center and is an important principle of sound management.
